Losing someone you love is hard enough. Being named executor of their estate, or learning that a family home must now be sold, adds a layer of responsibility that few people are ever prepared for. Suddenly, you’re facing legal paperwork, family dynamics, an unfamiliar property process, and decisions that feel permanent, all while grieving. Larry has spent his career becoming exactly the person you need right now.
Someone Who Treats This Like the Serious Matter It Is
Larry is the founder and managing broker of William Lawrence Agency, with over two decades of real estate experience, not just in selling homes, but in developing them, financing them, and understanding their true value at every stage. That depth of knowledge matters when you’re dealing with an inherited property that may be dated, in need of work, or sitting empty while the estate is settled.
He won’t rush you toward a quick sale that doesn’t serve the family. He won’t minimize what’s at stake. He will take the time to understand the property, the situation, and what outcome is right for everyone involved, and then work methodically to get you there.
He Knows How to Navigate the Process — So You Don’t Have To
Inherited home sales are not the same as a typical real estate transaction. There are often probate timelines to follow, multiple decision-makers to keep informed, legal and financial considerations that affect when and how the property can be sold, and sometimes properties that haven’t been touched in years.
Larry has navigated all of it. His background in real estate development means he can walk into an inherited home, regardless of its condition, and give you an honest, grounded assessment of what it’s worth and what, if anything, is worth doing before listing. His experience in commercial and investment brokerage means he understands complex transactions, works comfortably with attorneys and accountants, and keeps every party clearly informed throughout the process.
His job is to carry the burden of the property sale so you can focus on everything else.
A Familiar Face in the Community You’re Dealing With
Larry is a Morris County native. After a decade in real estate in Hudson County’s Gold Coast, he returned home in 2011 with his wife, Barbara, and their daughters to open William Lawrence Agency on Main Street in Boonton. He knows these towns, these neighborhoods, and these homes because he lives here too.
When families are dealing with an estate in northern New Jersey, they deserve someone who is genuinely invested in the community, not a stranger passing through for a commission. Larry has built his reputation here over decades, one family at a time.

Barbara Brush
When a family home needs to be sold as part of an estate, the process can feel overwhelming — emotionally, logistically, and practically. You may be juggling family dynamics, legal timelines, a property that hasn’t been touched in years, and decisions that feel permanent. Barbara Lawrence has spent 25 years becoming exactly the kind of person you need beside you right now.
Someone Who Has Earned Trust in the Hardest Situations
Barbara is Co-Owner and Sales Director of William Lawrence Agency. Over a career spanning residential real estate, development, investment, and high-level sales leadership, she has consistently been the person others turn to when the stakes are high and the path forward isn’t clear.
She won’t rush you. She won’t minimize what you’re carrying. She will listen, take the time to understand your specific situation, and give you honest, grounded guidance every step of the way.
She’s Seen Every Kind of Property — and Every Kind of Situation
Barbara started in real estate in 2002 in Hudson County, working with buyers, sellers, renters, and investors. She went on to specialize in condominium conversions and development projects, and eventually invested in her own real estate. That experience means she can walk into an inherited home, regardless of its age, condition, or how long it’s been sitting, and give you a straight, realistic picture of what it’s worth and what, if anything, is worth doing before you list.
Her job is to take the burden of the property sale off your plate, so your family can focus on what matters.
She Knows How to Keep Everyone Informed and Moving Forward
Inherited home sales rarely involve just one decision-maker. There are often co-executors, multiple heirs, attorneys, accountants, and advisors, each with their own questions and concerns. Barbara’s background in team leadership and complex sales means she knows how to keep every party clearly informed, maintain momentum, and prevent the kinds of miscommunications that stall a sale or strain family relationships.
She has navigated all of it before, and she will make sure you never feel alone in the process.
A Neighbor, Not a Stranger
Barbara is an Essex County native. She and her husband, Larry, founder and managing broker of William Lawrence Agency, are Morris County residents who opened their agency on Main Street in Boonton in 2011. They’ve raised their daughters in Kinnelon and maintain deep family roots throughout Northern New Jersey.
Barbara’s family is from Spain. She has a fluency in Spanish that surprises people in both countries: Americans who hear her speak it, and Spaniards who can’t quite believe she isn’t one of them. A lifetime of moving between cultures has given her a natural sensitivity to the different ways families across cultures make decisions, process loss, and navigate something as personal as a family home. Northern New Jersey isn’t just her market. It’s her home.
